Victoria Falls Add-On
Victoria Falls is the largest and most incredible waterfall in the world as the great Zambezi River plunges dramatically into a vast chasm creating a spectacle that has made it one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A part of this spectacle is the huge spray that is created which can be seen for miles and the “hand painted” double rainbow seemingly flung against the sky.

We will be visiting the Falls from the Zimbabwean side. This option will include the flight from Cape Town via Johannesburg to Zimbabwe and 2-nights at a very special hotel where joining you on the property will be a few quests of the four legged variety such as zebras, giraffes, monkeys, impalas and bush bucks! There will be breakfast and dinner daily, a sunset cruise near the Falls and other options for you to enjoy. For $155 you can spend some time at an elephant sanctuary learning about elephants, feeding them and actually taking a ride on an elephant with a dvd as proof of your adventure!

to Top

07h00 – 09h00 A full English breakfast is served.

09h00 You will meet in the hotel lobby and take the short walk to the Falls for a guided tour. The mighty Victoria Falls is the largest and most incredible waterfall in the world, where the great Zambezi River plunges dramatically into the vast chasm of the Zambezi River Gorge, creating a spectacle that has made it one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. One of the most amazing features of the Falls is the huge spray that is created which can be seen for miles. The locals call it “Mosi-oa-tunya”, which means “The Smoke that Thunders”. This will quickly become apparent after you have taken a stroll through the Rain Forest.

12h00 You return to your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is yours at leisure to do some shopping at the local craft market, or perhaps just laze around the pool. The hotel concierge will also advise of various activity options available in the afternoon. The Elephant ride comes highly recommended, however this will have to be booked in advance as it is extremely popular.

18h45 Our coach will transfer us to the nearby Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for an entertaining “Boma Dinner” which provides a unique cultural experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa – together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people. After the dinner and entertainment, we return to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Overnight: The Kingdom Hotel.
